Steven Suarez graduated from South Miami High school in 2000, where he won a Florida High School State Championship his senior year. Steven then continued his baseball and academic careers at D1 LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY. While a member of the LeMoyne baseball team, he was part of two conference championships and two NCAA D1 Regional appearances. Upon graduation, Steven signed with the Colorado Rockies organization, playing for them for the next two and a half years. When he finished his playing career, Steven became a hitting coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. Steven has also been a hitting and catcher instructor for the Florida Marlins organization. For the better part of the last 14 years, Steven has been a fixture in the South Florida High School baseball community as a high school coach, travel organization coach, and private hitting instructor.
A constant in his post playing career is Steven’s passion for helping players not only become better at their craft, but taking an active role in helping players continue their playing careers at the collegiate level. Through his background and credibility, Steven has established relationships with college coaches and programs throughout the country.
Stevens’ drive to help players and their families achieve the experience of playing college baseball like he did, is a driving force of who he is. His ability to mentor and help develop young men as players, assisting them into not only being the best player they can be, but also helping them navigate the college baseball recruiting world, all the while being able to identify what college programs provide the best fit academically and athletically, is something Steven is very proud of.
We here at Florida Diamond Recruiting Services are extremely excited to welcome Steven to our organization. His talents will now allow him to reach and help many more players and their families achieve the dream of playing baseball at the collegiate level.
